How Willy Dictation handles your audio, your text and your account. Written to match what the code does, tier by tier — the extension repeats the parts that matter at the moment they apply, rather than leaving them only here.

Willy Dictation turns speech into text in a text field. On the free, bring-your-own-key and Lifetime tiers, that happens entirely inside your browser: no audio, no transcript and no account leave your computer, because there is no server in the path at all.
A Managed subscription is the one configuration that changes this. It adds a cloud transcription pass and a cloud text-styling pass, so the audio of each sentence you speak, and the text of it, are sent to our server and forwarded to a model provider under our account. The extension says so on the screen where you sign in, not only here.
Audio is captured only while you have started dictation, and only from the microphone you grant. It is processed one sentence at a time and discarded as soon as that sentence has been transcribed.
The transcript is optionally rewritten into the output style you picked (an email, notes, a to-do list, and so on). Where that rewrite happens depends on your tier, and the destination is always shown in the extension’s popup before you dictate.
A Willy account is only required for the Managed subscription. The free, bring-your-own-key and Lifetime tiers work with no account at all, and never contact us.
Signing in uses Google. We receive your email address and a Google account identifier, verify them against Google directly, and store them so a subscription can be attached to you. We never receive your Google password, and we never ask for access to your email, files or contacts.
Subscriptions and one-off purchases are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout and never reach our servers — we receive only the fact of a payment, the plan, and Stripe’s identifiers for the customer and subscription.
A Managed subscription includes a monthly allowance, so we count what it is measured in: the number of dictations and the number of audio seconds, per account, per calendar month. That is a count, not a copy — no transcript, no audio and no text of any kind is retained as part of it.
This website keeps a tally of how many people reach each step of buying: the landing page was viewed, the prices were scrolled to, a plan was clicked, a purchase completed. It exists so pricing and wording can be judged on evidence instead of guesswork.
It is a tally and nothing more. Each step increments one number per day, and no cookie, no visitor identifier, no IP address and no browser fingerprint is stored alongside it — there is nothing in it that could be traced to you, or to a visit, even by us. That is also why you are not asked to consent to it: there is no identifier to consent to. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track”, nothing is counted at all.
There is no third-party analytics service, no advertising pixel and no tag manager on this site, and the browser extension counts nothing whatsoever.
The extension asks to run on every site. That sounds broad and is worth explaining plainly, because the browser’s install prompt cannot.
Only the parties named above, and only for the purpose named: the model provider that transcribes or rewrites for the tier you are on, Google for sign-in, and Stripe for payment. We do not sell data, do not share it for advertising, and run no analytics or tracking in the extension. The website’s own counting is described above and goes nowhere: it is not shared with anyone, because there is no third party involved in it.
Uninstalling the extension removes everything held in your browser — history, settings and any provider key. For an account, write to us at the address below and we will delete it and its usage counters.
